Work from Home

Would you like to make a difference to the lives of some really needy families from the comfort of your own home? This is a small piece of work that would have a BIG impact – There is a little village 6kms from the refugee camp that borders Thailand and Burma called Molaka which is home to one of the Karen Hill Tribes. These people have legal status to stay in the area as migrants but no land of their own to farm so they have set up a community weaving project. They use traditional hand-woven techniques to produce shirts, shoulder bags, purses and baskets all from locally sourced bamboo. There are currently 16 members of the cooperative, most of whom are women struggling to keep their families together, and they need your help. All they need is a list of places in Bangkok where they might be able to sell their goods which include contact details and if there are any costs involved. This is a one off research project that only requires a few hours of your time so help keep a family and a community together and volunteer for this post
