JOINING BWG

The British Women's Group welcomes all newcomers and long standing residents in Bangkok to join. There are two categories of membership:

Full Member - if you or your husbandIpartner hold a valid British passport then you can join the British Women's Group as a full member.

Associate Member - the BWG welcomes international members, although membership is at the Committee's discretion and is made in line with our Constitution. The Constitution is available on application.

Membership Fees - Full Member Bt 1200 I Associate Member Bt 1500 (subject to change).

ONCE JOINED

On joining the BWG you will receive a membership pack which will include a welcome letter giving details of our next newcomers coffee morning; directory of members; membership card and name badge; and the current issue of our “Contact" magazine.

A copy of "Contact" is sent to all members monthly detailing regular monthly events and activities, as well as write-ups on places of interest, member's information, a puzzle page and much, much more. Any events arranged after the issue of our magazine will be sent via email.

Our member's directory is updated with new member's details twice a year and a complete new directory is issued during December.

NEWCOMERS COFFEE MORNINGS

The newcomer's coffee mornings are held on the last Tuesday of the month at our Membership Ladies houses. This is a very informal coffee morning and a chance for your to meet some of the committee and find out more about the BWG and what events and activities are taking place. It's also a chance to find out good shopping tips and where to go for those items you still can't find in Bangkok. All new members will also receive a pack, courtesy of Central Department Store, containing a gift and details of their expatriate discount card.
