Coffee Mornings

Coffee mornings are held every month, normally on the second Thursday of the month, and are an informal gathering of members and non-members, who stand around, have a cup of tea or coffee and a good old natter.   It’s a good way to get to know people if you are new to Bangkok or just to catch up with those whom you don’t see on a regular basis.  We usually meet in members’ apartments so occasionally you may see a plea on the website for someone to act as host.  This means offering the use of your home.  You don’t need to have cups, saucers, water heaters, tea, coffee etc as BWG has its own supply of these and will bring them to the appointed place and collect them at a later date.  The usual charge is Baht 100 for members and Baht 200 for non-members.  We have a few “special” coffee mornings in the annual calendar, e.g. Easter, Queen’s Birthday and Christmas.
As you probably know, the BWG supports many Thai charities so, as with all our activities, all profits go towards helping those less fortunate than us.  We do sometimes hold a coffee morning in a coffee shop or restaurant but for obvious reasons our profits on such occasions are minimal so we try to limit them.

COFFEE MORNINGS on the 2nd Thursday of the month from 10.00AM

All the information regarding the venue, date, time etc will be found in the Coffee Morning notice in the Monthly Magazine.  You do have to book and the deadline for bookings is usually the Monday prior to the event, but just check the notice.  Don’t hesitate to come along; you’re sure to enjoy your morning.
